Hi
Apparently it's the 'gas train' - burner/control valve/hose and regulator - that is subject to all sorts of gas safety standards so any attempt to modify those things are not only unsafe but illegal.
As it happens, I have resolved the issue with Weber who, to be fair, are limited by the laws ...

Re: Landmann vs Weber
Si - you would think so but this is Weber's reply to me :
All Weber Gas barbecues are designed and tested specifically for use with the gas supply in their country of sale. The regulator supplied with the barbecue in Australia will not fit to gas canisters or gas bottles available in the UK.

Re: Landmann vs Weber
Si - I'm sure the burner valve/heat control on the other end needs changing too. I could be wrong but good old Weber won't give me any specific details so I'm just casting around for any advice, thanks!

Re: Landmann vs Weber
Weber will not supply parts to convert 'imports or exports' on safety grounds which is strange since they make the things in the US and simply fit them up with the appropriate hardware to comply with each countries regulations about gas appliances. They could easily sell me the correctly certified ...

Re: Q220 gas regulator, hose and valve assembly
Thanks guys - I tried that but they all just offer the regulator and hose (the one that converts the Q 100 from canister to cylinder gas), not the actual burner inlet valve which is adjusted by the large heat control knob. This is the part that has a different spec and is set for the very low Aussie ...

Since I am left with an unusable Q220, is the Pantera 2 a good alternative? It looks like a similar cue at a much ...

Q220 gas regulator, hose and valve assembly
Can anyone help me? I've just moved back here from Australia and obviously bought my much loved Weber 'cues with me only to find that my Q220 cannot be used with it's existing Ozzie gas valve assembly ( I knew I would have to change the regulator). Despite my pleading, Weber UK will not supply the ...

G'day folks
Hi, I'm a retired Anglo Australian now living in sunny? South Leicestershire. Introduced to Braai style cooking in South Africa back in the early '80's and interested in all forms of the art! My real love is wood cooking on simple set ups but I have a Weber Kettle and a Q 220 for back yard ...
