Re: All the charcoal has gone?!

If we can find 20 bags worth of people willing to do it and I can get the money in my paypal (pretend its a gift so they dont charge a fee...!!) then we can do this ...

Re: Loof Lighter

Also it just looks like a standard industrial heat gun with an aluminium tube over the end. Ive got a cheap heatgun that looks like the afterburner on a typhoon, im pretty sure that gets as hot as the looflighter does...

They are likely buying in heat guns from china and putting a new nozzle on ...

Re: New Braunfels standard cheap offset smoker mods....

Reverse flow floor is in now. Its 3mm mild steel, i got a sheet off ebay from someone who had it lying around, and I cut it with an angle grinder.

Ive said this before, but I look at this and I think that this just cannot work. I know it does, caus every decent smoker out there is reverse flow ...

Re: New Braunfels standard cheap offset smoker mods....

Hi Paul,

Since someone is watching then il fill in you on the other stuff ive done on it.

Here is the baffle, a copy of what most people do. The floor for the reverse flow will sit in the barrel and line up with the edge of the baffle. Im not going to attach it, it can just sit there and then it ...

Dont use the included thermo probe caus the cable is melt-able. I use one of these:

I have another thread going about the cheap offset smoker mod project im working on. I decided to have a go at making a pellet burner and the results are rather surprising.

I got a few kg of hickory/oak mix pellets from the kind owner of a new but very good local bbq smokehouse ...
