Is it in a case? And does it come with WiFi etc?

Sounds an interesting alternative ..

New Smithfield Market - Manchester

Would anybody be interested in a trip here one early morning with me? Maybe could haggle a better deal if we were buying twice or three times as much as if we were on our own...

Weber Smokey Mountain

I was contemplating building a UDS but decided to just buy a weber Smokey mountain.

I can get the 57cm for £350 which is only £50 more than the 47cm...

Not sure if I would ever need the extra capacity of the 57cm but I guess it may come in handy one day. So really it's just the running cost that ...

Beef ribs - 1st long cook

I Had my first long cook on my weber 57cm one touch yesterday. Used weber premium briquettes and oak for the smoke.

I lit the bbq at 9:30am and it ran between 220 and 250 degrees for 9 hours using only 3kg of charcoal (according to my maverick digital thermometer). I used 3 smallish pieces of oak ...

Re: Fuel

cool...Will get some ordered then.

I assume it's these weber that you're using... http://www.worldofpower.co.uk/weber-10kg-charcoal-briquettes.html

Just ordered a few bags to try out. Seems a decent price.

Cheers,

BraaiMeesterWannabe wrote:Try a few things and work out what's best for you. I find briquettes least fuss. A full basket lit minion method in my WSM 47 will last a 12 hour cook at stable temps without adding fuel.

What brand do you use?

Re: Fuel

Ok maybe I should reconsider and order some heat beads or weber long lsating then?

Every post I read seems to contradict the last. In one post i'll read that restaurant lump is the best, then i'll read in another that normal lump is best then in another that briquettes are better. Really confusing ...

Fuel

I need to buy some more fuel as i'm down to my last bag of restaurant lump wood from bar-be-quick which has been good for grilling. I am now moving into smoking as well as grilling on my weber one touch.

Is there any noticable difference in quality between the bar-be-quick and BigK (ach-15 ...
