Which BBQ for which food?

Hi,

Started off with a Weber 57cm kettle, purchased a Pro Q smoker a month or 2 back and was lucky enough to win a Weber Q3200 in the recent World of Power competition!

Never cooked on the cast iron of the Q before, not sure what the benefits are of if I need to do anything with it.
Still trying ...

Re: Maverick Wireless Thermometers

I ordered my 73 on ebay from a US seller. Couldn't find a supplier in the UK.

With the exchange rate it worked out at £61.

Re: Having trouble fitting your probes in WSM/ProQ?

Looks easy enough to do. I note that video is from Macs BBQ, Pro Q suppliers.

Not sure why they don't just make a bigger hole in the first place. :?

Re: Charcoal advice

Thanks guys.

Yes, I had fancied briquettes for roast/smoke and charcoal for grills. Will give the heat beads a try.
Have seen that Big K website before but wasn't sure if it was for trade or not. I though I was somewhere they delivered by the pallet.

Will have another look.

Thanks.

Charcoal advice

Can anyone advise on the best fuel to use for both long smokes and quick grills?

The only decent stuff I can buy locally (Go Outdoors) is Weber Long Life which I think is great.

I saw some Big K stuff in the garden centre and tried a bag but maybe it saw standard stuff not the '15' I've seen on ...

Re: Weber Grill Academy

I think its West London they are going.

They are simply wanting a bigger facility I understand.
Shame as Oxford is a beautiful setting.

Newbie from York

Hello all,

I've browsed a couple of times but thought I'd register and become more active.

I started BBQing properly when I purchased a 57cm Weber Kettle about 2 years ago. I got a lot of info from Amazing Ribs and a couple of FB groups I'm also on.

Went to Grillstock Manchester this year and ...
