Re: BBQ in the fields

That looks right on. Great Portable BBQ. Ciabatta steak sandwiches are stunning. Beats a flask of soup anyday ;)

Re: Burgers

A quick burger recipe I use, quite cheap and very tasty:

Lidls Lean steak mince. 500g @ £2.59
1 x Tsp Salt
1 x Tsp Pepper
3- 4 TBsp olive oil
1 TBsp of Worcester Sauce
1 onion (finely chopped)

I cook the finely chopped onions in the olive oil (you want plenty of olive oil as this replaces the fat ...

Re: BBQ books. What are the best ones?

Cheers all for the recommendations.

I've got the pit cue book, and it's mouthwatering. Was looking for a book for slow and low sort of cooking rather than grilling.

As some have said, the tinterweb has got to be the best source of information and recipes, but I do like a good cookery book to ...

How did that cold smoked salmon turn out? Wanna do same myself.

It turned out great. I don't like salmon myself, but, as I said, it was for the Mrs. and the family over Christmas, and it was described as' the best '. It's the time of year for cold smoked meat.

Have you done it before?

Re: Korean BBQ Recipes

Hi Boris.

Have you tried any of the Hairy Bikers recipes? theres quite a few in their Asian adventure book. There's Belly pork recipe's, Octopus, BBQ pork steaks. I can't post much as I'm a new member, but will look for some recipes for you.

Look for Gochujang, its a Korean chilli paste.

Re: pitt cue

The book is awesome. great recipes, although some are hard to use unless your feeding 100!

The House sausage recipe on page 140, looks stunning. Easy to make, and so versatile.

Got to try this.

I think the mother sauce is unachievable in a domestic kitchen due to cost, but, ideas can be taken ...

BBQ books. What are the best ones?

Hi all.

New member on here, and would like to know what books fellow BBQ heads consider the best? I'm looking to learn about proper BBQ cooking. I've seen the Weber cook book on sale at the moment, but it mostly seems to be based on grilling, not proper BBQ.

Cheers

Hi from Swansea

What a great Forum. Loads to read and plenty of contributors. Really looking forward to reading all the posts and contributing and asking some questions.

I received a ProQ frontier as a Christmas present (had it early, as I promised my wife cold smoked salmon). It came with the cold smoke generator ...
