Re: Hello from Georgia, USA

I have a collection of a bunch of woods and although hickory is nice Oak gives the best all-round flavour. That said I am partial to cherry and also pecan (or a mix of both)

Re: BGE vented cover

Just called the support line to double check and see what could be done and apparently there is no draw string on the new covers.

Xmas practise

Turkey on the XL BGE and I had to share.

20 people to feed and had a pork shoulder on the WSM overnight but wanted to post these as I am loving the BGE (only the second cook on it);

When I've done chicken thighs on the WSM they seemed to take ages. How long did you cook the wings and legs for?

about an hour then drop over the coals to get a nice colour at the end

BGE vented cover

Anyone got one. I bought it so that I could leave the XL BGE outside but the wind just gets underneath it and lifts it like a parachute so I chase it around the garden - badly designed or am I missing something?

Re: Big Green Egg black liquid???

The problem for me was mainly because it dripped back down onto on of the racks of ribs.
