I think Balance, is the all inportant for these units,
they can be noisy if loading up then overunning as they turn.
just a thought.

an old gas cylinder or compresser tank may do the job.
(providing your gas cylinders are the same as our 9 kilo ones.)

My first BBQ was as a kid,about 8 camping.
Sausages in the coals and brush off the dirt.
Yummo.

We use to live up the bush/country.
An Old Indiginous fella use to come and camp with his women.My uncle always shot him a roo or wallaby.
man that tasted good,just thown in the coals and slow cooked ...

The Maverick is a magnificent piece of equipment.takes away the guessing.
The question about it fitting has been answered above,I use it in my kettle thru the vent.
