Weber OTP

Hi all, recently assembled OTP and had hell getting one of the legs in. I assume this was due to excess enamel. Is this a common problem?

Also, the charcoal grate is really small and can slip off the tabs. Is that normal.

Thanks.

Just used my OTP. Quite pleased with stability but running hot. Need to do less lit charcoal and maybe crack lid open a bit? Was surprised to see lid thermo was fairly accurate below 150c. Was an ok cook for first bash. Surprised how little movement there is between close and fully open.

Also, is it normal for the ali shrowd on the bottom to end up eliptical rather than round or have I bent it? Can't see how else it could go.
