Our competitions are fun family affairs which take place over the course of a whole weekend. Friday nights are all about socialising with a some good friends and a few drinks, then on Saturday the meat is handed out and the serious business begins. Food is prepared and cooked over night and presented for judging around midday Sunday. teams cook four categories, chicken, pork ribs, whole pork shoulder and brisket.

Surrey County Show attracts up to 40,000 visitors and features hundreds of top quality animals from giant beef bulls to bantam hens. The Show is a fantastic day out for the whole family, combining entertainment and fun with the opportunity to see first hand the many aspects of country life and farming. Round the Pier (or ‘Paddle’) is Europe’s biggest FREE beach and watersports festival. It runs every year on the beautiful venue of Hove Lawns – Brighton & Hove – and features the very best in water, street & urban sports, live music, kids entertainment, ‘have a go’ opportunities and much, much more.
Paddle has always appealed to surfers and watersports enthusiasts, but it seems we just can’t stop people wanting to get involved. With all the usual suspects, from surfing, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, skating, windsurfing and free running, to all new sports like Surf lifesaving, land paddling, Kitesurfing and freestyle mountain biking‚ now everyone wants a piece of the pie.

Against the backdrop of the beautiful English Lake District, it is possible to sample national hunt racing in its most original format. With its party crowds and funfair, Cartmel rekindles the social gathering tradition of the original steeple to steeple chases. Cartmel only stages National Hunt (jump) racing……… and Barbecue. After successfully running BBQ race day for the last 9 years, Cartmel have partnered with the International BBQ Network to fill an entire weekend of BBQ fun alongside two days of racing.
