I've seen a couple of rub recipies that require Lawry's salt and also some of our American friends mentioning it (Sorry guys this is another thing you can't get over here).

So i found a copycat recipe that i thought i'd share.

2 tablespoons salt
2 teaspoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon cornstarch

If you want it to taste like the real thing it needs a little celery seed in there too.

I'd also at least double the sugar.

Thanks for the tip Steve, sadly never tasting the original i could only go off what i could find on the web but i do remember seeing a few people talking about adding the celery seeds to it.

Yeah, i started with that recipe for cloning it, realised it was wrong then read about the celery seed, added that then decided it needed more sugar and so on and so on

It's not a perfect clone, but it is nice.

If I remember, I'll bring you a pot of Lawry's back from Kansas. I'll pop you a pm when I'm back and if you let me have your address I'll post it over to you.
