1985 Weber Go Anywhere

I'm always jealous when I see on BBQ Brethren a "score" where some guy finds a dirty old BGE XL for 10 dollars in a yard sale.
This isn't quite like that but its pretty cool I think - found on ebay a 1985 Snap-on tools branded Weber Go Anywhere, £31.

I've wanted one of these for a while, and you can't buy them in the UK anymore for some reason, so I've been on the look out for a second hand one, and a red one is the icing on the cake. I've always wanted some wooden weber handles too.

According to the seller these were given away by Snap-on tools

I like the way the go-anywhere folds away into a carry-able unit.

You can see the legs and side vents are pretty rusted up, which is going to be a problem for controlling temps in it. I had to force the side vents down past the rust and now they are a bit hard to position

Its not pretty inside. Need a new food grate but who cares what the charcoal grate looks like.

The top lid is immaculate inside so its never been cooked with the lid on

He said its only been used a few times. Very pleased - this will be good for cooking our dinner on at comps and heating up the blood clots for breakfast! http://bbqfanatic.blogspot.co.uk/2011/09/recipe-blood-clots.html
Cheers
