Our setup

This is our setup...we have two gravity fed smokers. They are almost identical but the larger smoker was built by DW Kountry Cookers and the other by Stumps Smokers. These things are heavy....The Kountry weighs 440 pounds while the Stump is 375 pounds...or about the size of a couple of my relatives. ;)

Or just me
How long does it take to get one of those cooking, can you just have a whim for BBQ and get it up and running quickly or more of a forward planning thing ?

Now that's just showing off, only joking and a tiny bit jealous.

It's takes about an hour to get them going good. So it's not too bad...just a little planning needed.

Thanks! We've come a long way since we first started and I'm really proud of what we have... but I'm still jealous of a lot of other competitors around here. Crazy I know....I guess that comes with being a man, nothing can ever be too big and you can never have too many bells and whistles. ;)

If you decide to visit the UK for a holiday and venture to Grillstock in Bristol you'll see these guys in the town centre

That country Kookers smoker looks like a thinner version of my superior ss1. Am I correct in thinking that?

Yes you are correct. My understanding is the Superior and Kountry builders both worked with Stumps Smokers originally. They broke away and created their own smokers with subtle differences. I'm pretty certain they are all built at the same machine shop in middle Georgia. I don't know if Superior is still in business however...when I purchased the Stumps about a month or two back their website was down...just checked again and it's still not working.
