Hi all
As luck would have it, I'm off to Houston in July for a conference, and I'm going to follow it with a trip to Austin to make my pilgrimage to the BBQ Belt!
I know a number of you have been and toured it, and John was educated there - where should be on my list? Where should I stay and what should I see? There are some places in Houston and I'll take the crew there, but my time's my own in Austin.

cheers!

Ben

That sounds like an awesome trip, i'm sure you've seen Harry Soo's blog that he did and he covered losts of the regular names you think of when talking about BBQ in Austin

One that he didn't go to and I've herd very good things about Snow's BBQ, but it would be an early Saturday morning visit as from what i've seen they open at 8am and sell out by 10am and are only open on a Saturday mornings.

I had heard about Snow's BBQ - odd that you have to have it for breakfast but hey I guess that leaves room for another lunch! I'll make sure to get to that.

Hi Ben,
You have to get to Franklins in Austin. It is out of this world. You will never have brisket like it anywhere else. Any waiting in line is worth it.

Cheers

Chris
