I gotta say I love this site. I started smoking meat when we lived Stateside a few years ago (close to an enthusiastic N Carolinian). Haven't done much over the past couple of years, but getting back into it now - am excited at the prospect of competitions and may give one a go next year.
My first grill was (and still is) a CharBroil Santa Fe, and I've just added a CharGriller Smokin' Pro. I've been ogling the CharGriller for years, and finally decided a good excuse was to offer to teach a class to a few friends and so need more 'grill estate' to effectively teach a variety of meats. 'Teach' is probably overstating what we did, but it was fun if a little soggy!
Hopefully I'll meet some of you at a competition one day...
