Fresh meat

Postby Furious Pilgrim » 22 May 2016, 10:48

Morning folks!

Been smoking for about 18 months, ever since I got back from a trip to Tennessee. Man, they know how to BBQ! :o

Using one of those brinkmann smokers, they are pretty good for the money with a couple of 'tweeks'.

Haven't got any pics to hand, will try and put some up next week. Just planning the next BBQ for a fortnights time, so thought it was about time I joined up and had a nose around. :D

Hello

I started with a Brinkman smoker and found it pretty good for the price, the only annoying thing I found with mine was it ran a bit hot and I struggled to keep the temp down for long and slow cooking, so I tinkered with the air intake by making a slider to close the air intake to help tempreture control.
On the other hand when I got a Webber smokey mountain I found I struggled to keep a highish tempture, but I sorted that out by buying good charcoal

Happy smoking campers
