Team Sponsor Page

We will soon be launching a team sponsor page on the International BBQ Network website which will be replicated on our other sites. This is for any teams that commit to a minimum of two IBQN PitMasters competitions for the 2012 season.

This is a reciprocal deal, if your sponsors wish to be added then we will expect an IBQN logo on their site with a link back to us.

With the amount of traffic we are expecting this year throughout our network, this is a great way to increase exposure for your partners.

Can you please provide more information regarding how your claim about web traffic is validated, it's much easier to provide real data rather than discussing sweeping statements, thanks

Of course :D

We organise, without question, the biggest BBQ competitions in the country and are committed to raising the profile of all forms of BBQ from low and slow to grilling.

Our year on year growth speaks for itself, since formation we have increased our public audience by at least 50% per year offering teams and sponsors maximum exposure.

2010 50% growth

2011 66.6% growth

2012 160% growth

Percentage figures are all very well, it’s the numbers of visitors that count, and in 2012 we will be holding events in front of 130,000 people throughout the UK, almost 10 times bigger than any other organiser. This is likely to increase with the addition of further competitions during the year.

We appear in National newspapers but to name one medium, and are currently working with 2 different TV productions companies.

Over the last 12 months across our portfolio we have seen a 50% increase in web traffic including

an average 7,000 unique visitors per month to our web sites

Over 1200 unique Facebook followers

Over 1300 unique Twitter followers

In 2011, competitions were held in front of 50,000 spectators

In 2012, with our new venues (based on 2011 figures) we have 130,000 potential spectators

I think that is a pretty strong case.

As most of your events where part of bigger events do you have a direct measure of how many people observed that section of the show or are you figures just gate figures?

They are generally reduced gate figures, for example there were close to 30,000 people that attended the Big Feastival, we were right in the middle with competitions both sides of the marquee and seen by everyone but i have only accounted 20,000 towards our outreach total last year. Our figures do not take into account the reach via event websites such as ... mpetition/ which gains additional exposure and led to the telegraph interview for example ... sport.html which in turn drew in thousands more website viewers.

The list of additional exposure is endless, but sure you get the idea.

From a competitor's perspective (one with sponsors) the exposure at the Feastival was superb. The Society marquee was dead central in the event, opposite the big stage on one side, the second stage the other, and sandwiched between the WI and demo tents.

Once entering the site, the only place visitors could go without passing us was the loos :D

Also the efforts That were made to bring attention to our marquee were very effective, we had Jamie Oliver, Adam Perry Lang with us at points throughout the day and the mass feeding frenzy at the people's choice judging was almost surreal. The crowds around the Ready Steady Q area were large all day too.

We (Royal Q) had a large amount of promotional material for Thermapens to hand out and we ran out by mid afternoon. That was both recipe books and leaflets so we were happy to give them all out and hopefully a few Thermapens were sold as a result.

So far this year our sponsors have been very pleased with the competition schedule and event locations, particularly as the events are now to be spread further around the country :D
