Not me. Me and camping don't seem to get on. I'll be traveling down Fri night and stopping in a Travellodge.

I'll be camping over. Should arrive early Friday evening ish and Im in for both classes so the tent will come in handy for the overnight class.

Yep doin both and planning on arriving Friday with tent, unsure what bring with me tho....?

Think I'll be keeping it pretty basic.
Camping stove to make me a cuppa
Coolbox for bbq leftovers
Comfy camp chair

For the classes I think the 101 has pretty much everything supplied but I'll take a notepad and pens for the comp class as I believe people are required to take their own notes.

A change of clothes & a towel :D , there are showers and toilets on site so forget the porta-a-loo.
I'd suggest and eager and willing mind, a lurve of bbq, oh and a healthy appetite
Don't forget a good memory for when the Beds BBQ Brethren eventually meet (with geust from Herts of course ;) )

On a serious note no, sorry haven't any propper sugestions......

From Saturday morning onwards food wont be an issue, i may be able to sort something out Friday night but it will all depend on time. i have a fair bit of kit that people can use if they want to cook for themselves on the friday, may setup a couple of the outdoorchef asconas is anyone wants a quick fix (yes gas!) :lol:

Is there a run-down for the Saturday night? I assume sleep is planned - is there going to be cooking going on at some unsociable hour?

Here is a break down for the competition class as its in real time....................

Saturday
5 - 6 pm - Dinner for students (something delivered!)
6 - 7 pm making rubs, injections, mops,
7 - 8 trimming brisket and butt; inject, and apply rub
8 pm - brisket into smoker (assumes 14 lb brisket)
8 - 9 - trimming ribs and chicken and prep chicken for dry brine process
10 pm - butts go into smoker (assumes two 10 lb butts); go to sleep

Sunday
4 am - spray
5 am - spray, check for foiling readiness
6 am - prep ribs
7 am - feed students breakfast
6 - 8 am - butts and brisket done
8 am - ribs go in
9:30 am - chicken go in
9:30 am - make SYD Lazyman presentation box
noon - chicken
12:30 - ribs
1 - pork
1:30 - brisket
