BBQ pit boys

I wonder if any sponsors would like to get the BBQ pit boys out here. They do seem to travel to BBQ events all around the world (for a fee I presume). I wonder if some of the big boys like Weber would like to sponsor their trip out. Not necessarily for a competition event - but something like a food festival where ready-steady-q will be at.

Not something I would be interested in organising but someone out there may?

You are more involved in the scene than most - bring it up with them :-)

There are lots of barbecue organisations / events in the UK, some organise things others dont, they include

National BBQ Association
British BBQ Association
UK BBQ Association
Grillstock
Laverstoke Park

I will happily sanction low and slow events ie provide the rules, judges etc but I will no longer organise them. I am focusing on Ready Steady q and Kids Q plus the forum which will be going through some changes in a couple of months time.

Mind you on the Tom & Barbara level you've got the "garden" for it, if not the neighbours

Hi Toby,

Will this mean that MIM in 2013 will be the last BBBQS Pitmasters event you organise? :-(

Would be a great reason to get everyone together if so.

MIM was brilliant last year.

I am pretty sure it will be the last one i directly organise here as we are putting in planning permission for 60 houses on the field. We are of course able to sanction comps and I know the one at the beginning of June is going to be a cracker. Our brands such as pitmasters will continue through sanctioning.

I am sure MIM will be better this year due to it being back on a bank holiday weekend which always helps. Want it to be a fun foody weekend so if anyone has any ideas they want to try out let me know, it will be nice to finish on a high.
