Christmas Cooking

Postby crsmoke070 » 23 Dec 2010, 13:15

I am getting ready for the Christmas Feast and have the turkey almost thawed and will soon be swimming the its brine. It will be smoked/cooked on my Traeger and hopefull will be able to fit a potato caserole next to turkey. We also have a crowd coming over for Boxing Day amd I have already smoked some nuts for my guests to nibble on. I will also be smoking some chicken wings and mushrooms filled with crab meat.

What is everybody planning for their cooks?

I hope everybody's meals are great and that you have a Happy Christmas!

Sadly I'm stuck over in New York at the moment and not due to fly till Christmas day so my turkey plans have been put on hold until I'm back.

But hey there are worse places to be stuck I guess. Will have to see if any of the BBQ joints here are open on Christmas day :D

Nothing on the smoker, I'm afraid.

But a local store had a New York roast on sale, so we will oven roast it along with potatoes. If my brother gets here early enough, we will probably also have Yorkshire pudding.

Apple pie and blueberry pie for dessert.
