I just smoked some pork over the weekend, about 8kg I think.
I used the Weber briquettes.
Started at 7pm then changed at midnight but it was still nice and but didn't think it would last the night!

To echo alot of the above posts, heatbeads for me too. vs. the weber briquettes (not the newer oversized ones) I find the post-cook cleanup yields more usable leftover coals. Little bit more expensive but more efficient in the long run and very clean smoke when compared to bar-be-quick briquettes and other supermarket options.
