Great post Al, what a great idea. Yes I have it in the garden and I am very pleased with it now. It is just finding the time to use it that's the issue at the moment. I would like to use it several times a week but getting home at around 6.45 does not help

Great tip about the screws, we are assembling ours today (yes in this weather......in the garage it's nice and dry) so I may pop out and try to get replacements.DrSweetsmoke wrote:Very cool! They are great cookers and mine always gets a workout in fact she will be full of hams, necks and brisket in the coming weeks. I have orders for 30 so far and I know the XL will take then in stride.
One thing to remember is to always clean out the ash before storing it away. As with any cooker leaving ash in it will over a period of time become acidic and eat through the cooker once it gets any dampness. I replaced the screws im the legs with stainless so they would be easier to remove or tighten in the future if need be.

Thanks for the tip, one I'll certainly remember along with the difference in Food Handling Gloves and BBQ Gloves. Have a laugh, go to Amazon and have a look at some reviews on the insulated food gloves..........you couldn't make it up
