I couldn't spot the hard to find section so I've stuck this here....
Our favorite supplier of horse burgers have whole chipolte and ancho chillies in the speciality goods section. 1.99 each.
Just thought I'd spread the word as there hard to find

If they're the Tesco "Ingredients" ones you get 14g which is probably 5 large chipotle chilies. They're bursting with flavour, I love them. Thanks for letting us know, I'm on my last chili!

Re: Chipolte chillies
I bought a stack of mexican Seasonings from morrisons a while ago and one of the pots was chipolte flakes. Cant remember the price. Sorry
Re: Chipolte chillies
Whole morita Chipotle are £50 a kilo. Wow.thelawnet wrote:http://www.mexgrocer.co.uk/Chillies/

10lbs (4.5kg) is $70 - or about £50
I'm not particularly interested - but if enough of you get together, i'm sure you can arrange a group buy. Even taking shipping into account, there is sure to be a huge savings, and i'm also certain what you get will be quite fresh too.
Re: Chipolte chillies
I bought some ancho and chipotle from borough market today. I notice there are a fair few seeds in there which I'm sure will germinate. May give it a go.

Yeah, have an electric one, and a cold frame for when I take them out. I suspecting need to start them now if I'm going to get any kind of crop out of them. I've not got particularly green fingers, but have nothing to lose trying.CyderPig wrote:Buy a good propagator
