Long time griller (soon to be first time smoker)

Post by Jonjo »

Hi Guys

been reading for a while but thought I should join the fray.

I've loved grilling for a long time and while always wanted to give smoking a go, never really had the space to do it.

That's all changed and I'm ready to take the plunge.

I'm a keen chef anyway so I'll be experimenting with flavours and posting results!

That's smashing.

Do you have a dedicated smoker, or are you giving it a bash on a kettle?

EDIT - Scrub that - just read your other post.

Welcome on board.

I've just posted my proposed setup in the beginners advice.

Pro Q Excel 20

Looking at maybe a IQ110 or other forced air system for overnight.

Got wood on the way from Paul.

I have a custom built grill which I'll be keeping.
