Anyone been to Grillstock?

Postby Backyardsmoker » 17 Mar 2013, 06:33

Me and a few others are going to the one in Bristol in may. It looks really good. Im going to enter the rib eating comp I reckon, there is a chilli eating comp. Live music and lots of food and alcohol.

To me it aounds like a recipe fir one hell of a day. Weather permitting obviously.

Has anyone actually been?

Yes we went last year, I'm sure it opened a lot earlier as the times are now 11am-10pm. Due to the appalling weather some of the trade stands didn't turn up, but even considering the weather we had a great time meating lots of like minded bbqers & food nutters. Hopefully someone can confirm this but from the website it gives the appearance that there won't be that many on the day tickets available :(

Been to grillstock for the last 2 years and thoroughly enjoyed it. Going to the Manchester one this year as it is more local to me.

Sad to say Si it's technology :( , now if it had been a local ticket office like in the old days I'm sure a couple of brace of bunnies and a cotteral of pigeon breasts would probably have done it for VIP tickets 8-) .

Oh Oh I don't think Si knew about them :(

We are there on Saturday so may well meat up, you get to meat most people during the day. The good news is it's the rubber arm stamp for re-entry so you can come and go all day.
