Grill supplier?

Hi everyone,

Currently building my own BBQ and smoker and although I don't mind using mesh for the lower grill and smoker racks I'd like something decent, like a cast iron, for the top main grilling surface.

Does anyone know a supplier, or have any experience in getting one custom made? I had thought about using one of the modular grills in aluminium(?) from the USA but not sure if they'd make a decent "only grill.

Thoughts?

You've probably already thought of it but try yell.com for metal fabricators or local blacksmith s.

Can't help with the cast iron I'm afraid but I did go with weld mesh from the steel merchants for my second shelf, cost me £5 instead of £30 for an extra grill that way and works fine
