Hi im Aaron, 26 from just outside Brighton.
I have been smoking meat since april and loving every minute of it.
I got the hook after a trip to the states and thought to myself its time to step up the BBQing.
For my first time i did a brisket, pork belly and ribs, They all turned out fantastic.
I've done more brisket, pork belly and ribs since and have also done chickens, ducks, chicken wings and thighs and also did a 2.5lb piece of rib eye the other day.
Im using a Proq frontier and have found it fantastic, I have already added another section to it for more room.
I have been making my own rubs, marinades, brines and sauces, since day one and have found them a lot nicer that any shop bought sauce out there.
Currently looking for some top quality BBQ tools now as most out there are flimsy even the webber ones.
Anyway that enough about me.

welcome, Ive only been here a little while and can say its a great forum.
As far as the quality bbq tools go, what kind of things are you looking for? Weber chimneys are not bad, pretty happy with it so far. Forget the fork, all you do is stick holes in things which let the internal juices out. I think you put up a recent post on this the answers basically put the point that strong expensive tongs are basically a waste of money. If a joint of meat can't be gripped by a half decent pair of tongs, then use heatproof gloves to move it.
We've a fair number of top-class competitors on here and Ed's comments would, I think, be seconded by most of them. Please don't confuse celebrity/Company endorsements as a sign of great quality. Steven Raichlen will happily take £50 from you all day long for his set of tools, which probably won't serve you better than cheaper varieties. Granted they will probably look better. I'me not advocating getting an ultra-cheap set the nice bamboo handled wire ones from Asda
they move charcoal around beautifully but have never been used to cook with.
Most DIY/Supermarket bbq sections are getting their sales on so you could pick up a set relatively cheaply.
This company has a good selection I got the Grillpro set from them a while ago and it works well.
