Those 'manifold meals' we're all the rage in the 80's

As Aris said, they were all the rage years ago in the states. A colleague went to fly-drive in the states and there was a chain of "restaurants" linked to the car company (I think) who you could get "picnics" from in a metal/foil container purpose built for the make/model of car. He brought an empty one back and some phots to prove it.

Got some work to do before I can watch TV so I'll watch during brekkie and let you know

It would have been interesting to see the judgement if they hadn't had their foil pan punctured. Still trying to work out what their "Silver lining"was.
Love the idea of the wonder bag/box.

in my little world (total population, 1), I believe it is entirely possible that a South African came up with that idea many years ago

I have to say though what I find more funny is that is a competition about Barbecue the elimination challenge involves no barbecue at all . Other then that I love the idea of cooking on the engine.

What bothers me is the standard of cooking, they are in the biggest bbq/braai competition in Africa and they don't check sausages or burgers for doneness?! You'd have thought some of them were old time Brits
