Hi fellow smokers,

We've been working hard setting up our contest. It's gonna be great! Besides the fish, all dishes are known. In the mean time you can also find the Rules & Regulations on our website.
I hope I will meet a lot of you there!

Geert

The closest camping area is 9 miles away. Small tents can be put up on the contest site as well. Also, for the international teams, 1 floor of the boarding school (on site) is made available at no cost. 1 floor = 32 rooms = 64 people. We are also looking into the possibility of using their gym as a sleeping area.
Hotels in the vicinity are becoming a problem: because of the commemoration and celebration of WO1, almost every hotel is completely booked already. I don’t think it won’t be a problem finding a hotel closer to the cost (20miles).

Hope this helps!

To all the teams, judges and future judges who haven't registered yet: this is the perfect time to DO so if you want to enjoy your vacation with peace of mind
For the ones interested in becoming a judge, a Judging Class is held on Saturday morning (Sept. 13th) by our American KCBS Reps. Entry fee is only 75euro!
Carolyn Wells, president of the KCBS will be attending our contest: the first in Europe! It will be a unique chance to meet her.

Hope to see you all there!

Have a lot of fun (grilling;-))!

Hi,

Sorry to to answer you this late... (not really that sorry because I was on vacation ;-))
We're expecting a lot of people. We're counting on >15000 a day. Because of the commemoration of WW I all hotels in the vicinity have been fully booked since the beginning of this year.
Of course a lot will depend on the wheather. Let's hope for the best!

Best regards,
Geert

It was just great! The days before the contest were exhausting en stressy, but on Saturday everything started rolling and fell into place. The weather was perfect and we had a big crowd (20.000 people over the weekend). At the end we we completely exhausted, but when we got the great comments from the teams and public it was well worth it!!!
And interesting for you guys: Miss Piggy's (UK) came in second!
