£14 per kg is a good price but this depends on the beef and the marbling it has. I currently pay a bit less than that for my wagyu but i get catering prices and i know every one that i've had has been heavily marbled and has cooked very well.

I've also paid more per kg in the past for American wagyu and it was rubbish as it had hardly any marbling.

There was an episode of the Hairy Bikers where they went to Japan and checked out some wagyu, they were almost afraid to cook it

If I paid that for a piece of meat I'd frame it rather than cook it...once I'd remortgaged the house of course :!:

Harry Soo was saying on the course at Toby's home that one of his students gave him a Wagyu brisket, it was $160 per lb and over 15lb.

He smoked it and said it was amazing, its on his website.
Never tried it and at those prices the wife would chop off my nuts if I brought some................................I do have 2 kids and don't want anymore ;)
