Indirect cooking - How do you set up your bbq?

Post by SmokerRH »

Hi all,

How do you set up your bbq for indirect cooking?

I've looked at this site which is useful http://amazingribs.com/tips_and_techniq ... oking.html

I have a ProQ Frontier, would the large water pan placed over the coals work as indirect cooking technique? If so, would it matter if the coals are not placed to one side of the bbq?

Thanks again all.

In my wsm the water bowl acts as the heat dissapator, just chuck your coals in the basket anyhow and you're good to go.

On a one touch kettle bbq, then I'll either set up a snake for a low n slow. Or hot coals off to one/either side for a hot cook.
