Well, salt is salt for the most part. I specified Kosher salt simply because it is more consistent in size than table salt, which varies depending on brand.

The problem arises when you get a recipe which measures by volume. A cup of table salt weighs more than a cup of kosher salt - so if you substitute table salt based on volume, it will be saltier (perhaps too salty).
