Man-law lid thermometer

Postby aldo » 27 Jul 2015, 21:27

Bought one of these to replace Weber one.
This is very accurate as I had my maverick in as well at same time, to compare.
Weber one was well out of range.
Purchased on USA e bay.

Hi yeah sorry that's what I meant. Looks like a cool thermometer. I'm thinking about changing the one in my WSM lid and want it to be able to be calibrated so I can adjust it to my cooking grate temp.

Errr, then your cooking grate will be lower still surely? The grate is generally lower than the lid. You can't match the 2 surly.

That's why I want an adjustable one so that I can adjust it for the difference. Say if at usual smoking temps the lid is 30f hotter than the cooking grate temp, I can adjust the dial to compensate for the difference so it shows roughly what the grate temp is.
