Hi all,
As per the post title, I was just wondering if there's a general consensus on the best DIY UDS. Trawling through older posts i've been able to find plenty of what look like really good UDS builds and even some detailed build guides (A guy called stretchy created a very useful looking one).
Given that i'm completely new to smoking (looking to buy or make my first smoker soon), it's difficult for me to work out which UDS builds are known to be the best. By 'best' I mean: reliable, does the job it needs to do, gets to the required temperatures, maintains temperature well, versatile, usable etc.)
At this point, design difficulty won't be too much of a barrier as i'd be building it with a friend who has most of the skills and tools that would be required to build most designs.
Thanks in advance
Is there a consensus on the 'best' UDS build?

No idea on UDS. You may find farcebook a bit more active this time of year though

To be honest most designs will be fine. A lot of the fun is experimenting. Build a standard unit and then work out what's best for you.
