Tried it this morning, my sis made me an alaska from the bakery,......some folk try blow-torching the merangine, but it doesn't give the same effect.... I smoked it for 1hr with weber cherry chunks,,,,,,,,,,it was fab, better than the oven or blow torch.
you do need to add a final dusting of sugar
