Apparently ikea do a cheap food probe for about 14 notes. I'm sure Joker told me about em at rudgwick last year.

I've never seen it but as I said I'm a Newbie so not having heard of it doesn't mean anything good or bad.
But I did probe the guys a lot before buying and no one mentioned it. Probe - did you see what I did there

It's a shame it works on Bluetooth. It would be fantastic if it texted you when it was done. Would be worth a fiver a month for a pay as you go sim card!

It's not remote, just a food probe. I could sell you an iGrill but to be honest I don't rate them and I would need £75 to recover some of the costs. It's a nice paperweight mind. Lol

If you're wanting something for this weekend Lakeland do a single probe thermometer which will work for your brisket for £20.00. not sure if you've got a store near you or what their shipping is like but could be worth a try.

If that doesn't work Amazon have a load of different ones the would work and they could have them with you in time for the weekend.

Looks good, will have a read later may work out more than a maverick but with better range could be a good option

There is a thread on this forum about the iGrill. The views are quite varied I would search it out and read the thread. I personally don't rate it but others swear by them.

I'm in my iPhone so finding the thread for you aint easy.

This thing is awesome if you can believe all the claims, 2 probes so you can monitor both food and pit, nice clear display in the app with built in reference temps for meats. I've emailed the company to get shipping costs to the UK, may even try them for a discount if a few of us are interested.

I think Dr Sweetsmoke is sponsored by them, I would go through him. It's always good to support teams with their sponsors.

I have one, barely used with two probes if anyone wants it £75
