Just been down to the new costco in Farnborough, a whole fridge of ribs and every one of them......... rubbish, no meat and bones showing on the lot! such a shame!

I normally get the 'german' ribs from booker. I'm tempted to try what are labelled as 'meaty' ribs next time to see if there is much of a difference. The loin/baby back ribs I tried last time were pretty good too, though not American levels of meat on them.

Ive just got a box of the German ribs from Booker.
Quite happy with the look of them, will be doing some racks tomorrow.

As mentioned in another post I ordered some baby backs from Reading Meatpackers. £7.95 for a pack of two.
Quite meaty and full of flavour.
This was the rub, and I had the complimentary sauce as well, from Wishbox USA
Cooked up nicely 2-2 0 (250 on the Excel with i110 providing the "breeze") I didn't glaze them as there was a selection of sauces for guests to try. As they were quite short I cut them into pairs. All in all a great day with family and friends

Yep they are certainly MEATY. My butcher can get them as King Ribs

I got some ribs from Costco pretty much an hour before I found this forum ...even a dog wouldn't bother chewing on them bones
Ah well, I'm going to have to just cook them up and test some rubs. This counts towards me losing some weight, right?
