I know this is an old thread but in case anyone is interested in getting a dx2 delivered from the states, I got one through last week. Total cost this end was £60.
Very impressed with it so far. Used it at the weekend for some pork loin and whole chickens on the wsm so wanted higher temps than normal. It kept a steady 350 C which was not bad considering the thermapen showed about 6 C air temp. Going to try it out at a more conventional 225 C this weekend, just need to decide what to cook!

DigiQ dx2 and the cyberQ wifi
Re: DigiQ dx2 and the cyberQ wifi
The website says $185 - how did you get it for £60? Perhaps you meant £160 - with delivery, duties, and vat on all of that.benspinks wrote:I know this is an old thread but in case anyone is interested in getting a dx2 delivered from the states, I got one through last week. Re: DigiQ dx2 and the cyberQ wifi
£60 was the additional cost paid in tax, custom charges, etc. This was on top of the cost of the dx2 itself.aris wrote:The website says $185 - how did you get it for £60? Re: DigiQ dx2 and the cyberQ wifi
What was your landed cost then? Around £200?
Re: DigiQ dx2 and the cyberQ wifi
With probe upgrades to 10 feet, a kill plug and not too favourable exchange rate the dx2 cost about £220 plus the £60 this end so nearer £280 in all.
I also went out and brought a uk power supply so there is that cost to add on too.

Re: DigiQ dx2 and the cyberQ wifi
I picked it up today. Had to pay £8 handling fee and £14 V.A.T. Sister sent it as a gift.
Re: DigiQ dx2 and the cyberQ wifi
The digiQ is amazing. Held temp all night and I'm using a lot less coals. This is on a WSM 57 with water in the water pan.

Re: DigiQ dx2 and the cyberQ wifi
I really really want the cyberq wifi, if you google there is an official duty & vat calculator. Duty doesn't apply as it comes to less than £9 which is waivable, it's the vat that's the killer, adds an extra £54, and then you have any handling fees on top.
Not a cheap toy, but I'm a geek inside and really love the idea of being able to monitor my cooks away from home on my phone etc. When I do get around to ordering one I'll be praying to every god under the sun that it manages to sneak through customs undetected.
