What should I try first (low n slow)?

Thanks for that. I'd not seen about the snake method before but I've had a look and it sounds quite a good idea.

Only thing I wonder with these methods including unlit coals - I did cook some veg on my weber when I had just added unlit coals to the lit ones, and they didn't taste all that nice. I guess maybe it depends on the brand of briquettes.

Having to light coals with the chimney starter and keep adding them every so often does sound like a hassle though.
