I always have fat off now so that I can get the rub all over the meat as well a bark all round. The fat does nothing in my opinion.

Never seen a bone-in joint in Tesco - maybe it is a regional thing?

Aris - it's only in the largest Tescos (Tesco Extra). I've found it usually in the fresh meat section - they are kind of triangular lumps of pork called 'everyday value' with skin on top.

British - Absolutely. Plus some other Tesco farm assurance stuff. I don't know about RSPCA endorsements.
