If you do, then I may have inadvertently volunteered to compete at some time or other in the future.

Just bumping this,

I finally got round to getting touch with Booker today about joining up as a competing BBQ team (may have been a little creative).

The manager was great about it, said no problem and said to pop down with some ID and I can have a membership card!

So if you are still looking to be a Booker member, give your local store a call!

Hopefully it will work out well for me having a Booker card - my local one is literally 5 mins away from work.

Shall go after work tomorrow, sign up, grab some charcoal and hopefully some of the frozen spares for a BBQ on Friday.

Have you given thought the team name you will use on the account?

Although when I spoke to the manager he didn't seem that bothered, just wanted personal ID

Yeah, I got bored one day and knocked it up.

What else is worth getting from Booker? Anything? Just charcoal and ribs?

They have some great ingredients for rubs - garlic powder, onion powders, paprika's, etc. I also like the Rib Eye's from my Bookers.

I haven't been there for a good few months, and the other day they called me asking if I still wanted my account.

I said yes, but I got the impression they don't like "occassional" shoppers.
