In that case you obviously have been to the wrong area. It's not all Get Carter style slums up here!! Think it was the Gateshead is depressing post John. Read like a joke to me too but then again it was a Lancastrian who posted it and both you and I are Lancastrians so maybe it's just the northwest sense of humour that doesn't translate that well.
