Had a reply from iGrill shipping is $35 to $40 so all in including vat and handling fee added by fedex it would cost £120. At that price I can build my own automatic temperature controller with pit probe (obviously) and meat probe. I know that wouldn't be wireless but much better value in my mind.

The ET 732 has meat and pit and comes in at £50 ish so presents pretty good value I reckon.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but has anyone used one of the ET732? Also, where's the best place to get them in the UK? Cheers, Simon

I've got one but have gone back to the old et73s due to repeated probe deaths on the new model.

To be honest I don't even use the maverick very often now as I run my cooker off a pid controller I got from eBay. It isn't remote but it dials my cooker into swings of less than 10 degrees so I don't need to keep an eye on it

I've been doing some playing with my Stoker, which is a type of pit controller on the Primo range of ceramic cookers and had some mixed results from what i've read on other forums this could be down to the fact that the Primo's are oval in shape, although i've yet to try my Stoker on a BGE or KJ to compare.

TBH with a ceramic cooker i don't think there is much need for them as i did some cooking without my Stoker on a very windy day up in Yorkshire and the temp' didn't move all day unless we wanted it too.

Most people on here use the Maverick thermometers i belive a good price for them at the moment is on Amazon so you might want to have a look on there to start off.

i use the maverick. the reliability is still not great but for a remote thermometer i have not found anything better for the price.
