Woo Hoo, just found it on amazon, still interested if anyone has a good homemade version. For anyone who's interested in recreating the TGI taste at home it's sold as Jack Daniel's Hickory Brown Sugar Barbecue Sauce

that one sounds Nice goin to try this out ! Thanks
Re: Homemade sauces
tough one depends which one you want to get close to
If you want a more american tasting one I'd reccomend upping the salt and sugar for a start
then chilli's n peppers, blitz bell pepers and substitute them for some of the tomatoes
and the classic chiptle /ancho taste we don't have these fresh but the dried stuff is not bad at all, and you'll know the taste when you use is it. lastly liquid smoke if you can be botherd for the more ribs type sauces. I reckon actual smoe works better.

Where this recipe says tomato puree, would that be chopped/peeled tomatoes, or actual "British style" puree in a tube? A large tin seems like a LOT!
Re: Homemade sauces
Depends on who's giving the recipe.
Puree in the UK is the stuff in tubes. In the US this is called tomato paste. It can also sometimes be called tomato concentrate.

Yeah, that's what I'm getting at; it says you need a large tin of tomato puree! (On checking, apparently I was being a tad over-excitable, it's readily available and quite cheap.) Now I'll get back in my box
