Yep, they look good but I'd check to see what reviews they get. If you look at the top of the range Damascus style knives they always give an idea of the number of layers. Remember its not just the blade it's the balance and feel of the handle as well.

They consistently get near to top and top marks in every review on that site and there are a lot of reviews :)

Okay, but as always buyer beware. A good quality damascus forged knife will set you back upwards from 4-6 times that much for a small knife. Get to one of the Good Food shows and have a looky at what they show there are always 3 or 4 different brands and then check the prices. Or pop into a quality kitchen shop and try their selection (then search for a cheaper stockist :D ). Personally I would never again buy a knife without trying it to see how it fits in my hand. I have a Furi carving knife, the edge is fantastic as is the balance, BUT, the "patented micro-groove" system on the handle is a joke it does not stop your hand from slipping. Granted not so important on a carving knife but it is a factor to take into account.

Yeah definitely :) I've ordered from the site before and I trust them. I've seen a couple of independent reviews of them also doubting how they can be produced for that price and comparing them to top of the line Globals with nothing but praise. I think they just buy them direct from a factory and because they don't have a name as such they can sell them off for much less. I'll probably grab a paring knife and see how it is before dropping cash on a chef knife. It's just a shame they don't stock a curved cleaver style blade

Glad to see you've done your research, I just wish some others did before repeating questions that have recently been answered :D
