No as the temperature is low it doesn't cause the meat to dry out excessively

Tried the Pizza stone wrapped in foil in the water bowl of my frontier..temperatures hit 270f even will all the vents at the bottom closed and held there..was a little too hot for the 7-8 hour cook I was planning for a rolled shoulder of lamb so after a while took the bbq apart and removed the stone and went back to water. All back in control now and hanging at 235f.
Maybe will drill out the rivets from the vents and fit stainless bolts nuts and locking washersv to make them a closer fit then try the pizza stone again another time.
