PROPER MEATY RIBS

Feel free to ask any questions, one of the experts will certainly respond, don't be afraid to ask anything, we were all beginners at some point.

The reason for posting big photos is that they are memory hungry, slow down both the forum and user's system and using thumbnails linked to a hosting service works for everyone (usually) regardless of speed of server. Also not everyone is on a broadband of sufficient speed not to slow down when large photos are displayed.

In addition to what he said, many of us access the forum on the go to feed our addiction. Large pics would rape my monthly data package.

I made the album public so all should be able to see it.

Are you doing it wrong?
There is a very simple reason for this, big photos take up more storage space with the hosting provider which costs £££.

This forum is available for anyone to use free of charge with no fee's attached to it.

You'll also notice that there are no banner adverts or pop ups on the forum, all costs of the forum are being privately funded by Toby (the guy who runs the site).

Is it really that big of an issue???

I've never had that come up, bearing in mind Toby usually plasters a competition with what seems like scores of photos I suspect it may be a limit at your end ( ) but I'm no techno-wizard (bring back Windows 3.1) if anyone can offer suggestions to fix this I'm sure they will.

Thanks Ed for reminding us of Toby's largesse 8-)

3.1 ahhh, the good old days!

Know what the previous posters mean, large pics are great, but can be achieved through correct linking to reduce / limit costs - this is cracking & free resource, can't grumble!
