Sadly Stretchie yes they do, and so do ever so many unenlightened people, which is why the supermarkets both stock and sell loads of them. That together with re-heatable pulled pork, chicken wings and smoked brisket :(

Never buy any meat from any counter from supermarkets. I should know I work at the Sainsbury meat counter! Its always good to go local butchers and haggle. I get massive stack of ribs about 3-4lb worth for about £25-£30 which I think is pretty awesome. Ordering online I wouldn't know unfortunately

I find makro quite expensive for meat. For some reason loin ribs are 4.99 and kilo and spares are, err, 4.99 a kilo. My local butcher is 4.80 for spares but gives you a bit off if you buy a big rack. My last rack was 1.3kg. Mmm.

Costco meat isn't that cheap but is good stuff.
Morrison is doing shoulder for 2.65 a kilo at the mo. Boned though.

They are okay, quite meaty and not a bad price, however once we've eaten the ribs we have in the freezer I will be going to meatpacks and ordering their bulk ribs, which are frozen for delivery. I've had the individual racks from them and they were excellent and quite meaty, I believe the ribs are Spanish (fribin?).

From what I have just seen they are fribin ribs, but are £49.98! Ouch! :o

Bought the spare ribs from meatpacks last time and just got the baby back loin ribs from them this time to compare. Spare ribs much better IMHO. That's what I'll always buy in the future.

*NB* Don't forget to use the code 'FIRST' to your first order with Meatpacks for a 10% discount.

At twice the price that will have to be a fair jump in quality!! Let us know how you get on. At £10 a rack that's big money in my opinion.

£10 a rack? I got 14 baby back rib racks with my 10kg Meatpacks delivery.

Two racks are plenty for three people. Nice & meaty, but I do prefer their spare ribs, but that's just a personal preference with the cut in general.
