Well, when I got up at 5:30 it was grey but not raining. There were a few spots but no real rain (I actually put the maverick transmitter in a plastic bag and sealed it just in case!).
The pulled pork was great. It hit 195 at around 4.30 so we ate just after 5 - pork was tender and not dry - maybe a little dry on the 'thin' side of the blade.
Went well with a ketchup based finishing sauce from a Weber book!
Did you end up doing pork, Simple-BBQ? And how was yours, RobinC?

Re: Pulled pork
Not impressed with the one I did when compared to my local butcher joints. It will do me for 'filler' rolls but I'll probably not bother getting it again.

Re: Pulled pork
RobinC, sounds wonderful! I'm salivating at the thought. I don't know about you but I do struggle with the early mornings at the weekend but it's always worth it in the end. I did some belly pork slices on the the simple-bbq grill. Seasoned with some Butt Rub, they were rather tasty.Matsuya wrote:Well, when I got up at 5:30 it was grey but not raining.
