Well I've signed up for the 101 class and I am looking forward to it - chances like this don't come along often, you've got to grab them while you can
Re: Slap Yo' Daddy Aka Harry Soo BBQ Classes!
After 20 years of being asked for recipes by people I meet and writing them on serviettes (napkins in US), I've updated my website to feature my many unique creations. I'll be posting a new recipe each week so sign up for the RSS feed if you want to receive them.

I also get asked a lot about what equipment I use in the class and in competition.
My students seem to want to purchase the same equipment and products that they use in class. So I've created an Amazon page to share all the products that allow me to win using one WSM-18 and one bag of Kingsford charcoal. This page is being used by Toby to help round up the gear I'll need to teach. Each item has a story, why it works, and how to use it in backyard and comp setting. My philosophy is "Less is more" and I don't carry more equipment and products than I need as I like to travel light.

The temptation to do both lessons may grow to more than my wife's frugality can control

Woohoo, that is great news! Just emailed a couple of my friends who are also in to Q to see if they can go as well, if not then it will just be myself. (The wife owes me a birthday present and this will do nicely!).Toby wrote:We still have places available for both classes, go to http://www.ibqn.com and click on the class linkchokethechicken wrote:Arrh, I've been too busy recently and I missed out on the class enrolment.![]()

Last weekend, I gave a shot at making a British classic dish with a pitmaster twist. Take a look and leave me comments!

Sounds good, it's nice to know there is at least one American who recognizes the difference between Shepherds pie and Cottage Pie

There's parts of the class I am comfortable with already but quite a few bits where I would appreciate the knowledge and experience coming from Harry Soo.Toby wrote:We still have places available for both classes, go to http://www.ibqn.com and click on the class linkchokethechicken wrote:Arrh, I've been too busy recently and I missed out on the class enrolment.![]()

Would love to do both courses but it's a tad steep for me.
Hmm cannot find a link to book a place for the BBQ 101 session - how do I enrol/book a place?
