Great, thanks. Wish I had heard about it before I went and built my own. Ive probably done about £50 on mine, for the extra 50 to have the temp profile and general neatness and small, would have been worth it.

Ok I have a free weekend again this weekend. How have people mounted their fans? Created a caddy? Or just strapped it on?

A lot use a metal dog bowl that covers the vent, cut a slot for the fan and drill a hole and use a cavity wall expanding bolt to secure the bowl to the smoker.

Not a bad idea. Do you know if the fan is covered? Or at least one side I'm just thinking it's quite a small fan and not easy to fit in the dog bowl
